Pride built a wall around himself
Reinforced by Fear
Effectively it shut out Hope
and made it very clear . . .
That Faith was also force to leave
Followed soon by Love
So Pride and Fear were left alone
Rigid and unmoved
But Hope came back and knocked and pled
And Faith cast out all Fears
Then Charity, which never fails
Converted Pride to tears
