Dear Logan, Thank you very much for your kind birthday greeting! What a nice surprise to hear from you. I am feeling better now thank you. It wasnt the flu but just a bad chest cold etc. We still don't have our shots but might get them sometime.
Thank you too for the precious photos you send of your adorable children! They remind me some of you when you were a baby. We tended you while your mom was in school for a short time. Then when I was in Germany I remember what a very smart kid you were! Never changed either.
I had a nice day in spite of my cold. Elissa is here with her husband and baby while they are buying a house. It is nice to have a baby around again. Love to you, Noelette and the growing children. Grandma the Octogenarian

Grandmother Colleen,
I wanted to wish you a happy birthday, and let you know that you've been in my thoughts and prayers with regards to your health and well being. Although I've never felt that your spirit needed any help, I also pray for your inner health.
I'm sorry this is so brief, Everyone in the house is sick to varying degrees with what I hope is a normal flavor of the flue, so time and sleep and energy are all in very short supply right now. We're lucky to get a few hours of sleep, and a few more hours of good mood from them before they start to feel crabby again.
The example you and Owen have shown me throughout my life is more precious and means more to me than I could ever express in words. I feel the best chance I have to show how important your actions have been is to do everything I can to keep my marriage healthy, and raise my own children the best way I can.
Love,Logan
